President

How to play

3 to 8 players, a 52-card deck shared out. Get rid of all your cards first to become the President.

From lowest to highest: 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 J Q K A 2. Suits do not matter.

A trick

• The leader plays one to four cards of the same rank.
• In turn, each other player plays as many cards of a higher rank, or passes. A player who passed waits for the next trick.
• When nobody else can or will play, the last player to play leads the next trick.
• A 2 ends the trick at once: its player leads again.

The round

The first out of cards is the President, the next the Vice-President… the last one still holding cards is the Scum. Each player scores one point for every player who finished after them.

From the second round, before playing, the Scum gives their two best cards to the President, who gives back their two weakest. With four players or more, the Vice-Scum and the Vice-President swap one card the same way. The Scum leads the first trick (in the first round, whoever holds the 3 of clubs).

The end

After the last round (3 by default), the best total wins.
