How to play
2 to 6 players race up eleven mountain trails, numbered 2 to 12. The middle trails are the longest: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 steps from trail 2 to trail 7, then back down to 3 for trail 12. The first player to win three trails wins.
A turn
- Roll four dice and split them into two pairs. Each pair's total is a trail: your climbers go one step up each.
- You have three climbers per turn. A trail can be climbed if one of your climbers is on it already, or if you still have a free climber, and if nobody has won it yet.
- When the two totals of a split cannot both be climbed, you climb just one of them.
- After each climb, roll again or stop. Stopping turns your climbers' steps into camps, kept for the next turns.
- A roll with no trail to climb is a fall: every step of this turn is lost, and your camps stay where they were.
Winning a trail
Make camp at the top of a trail and it is yours for good: the other players' camps on it are removed, and nobody can climb it any more. Win three trails to win the game.
