How to play
2 players. Each hides a code of four pegs, chosen among the colours of the game (6 by default); a colour may come back.
A turn
- In turn, guess your rival's code. Each guess is answered with two counts: the pegs of the right colour in the right place, and the pegs of a right colour in the wrong place.
- Use the answers to narrow the code down, guess after guess.
Winning
The first to crack the code wins, but the second player always gets as many guesses: cracked in as many, it is a draw. Nobody cracking it in 10 guesses is a draw too.
